Scope

Brandstetter Carroll Inc. completed a County-wide Facilities Feasibility Study that analyzed the correctional facilities, District Court, Administration Building, and County Courthouse. The need for this study was to create more space at the Campbell County Detention Facility for restricted-custody beds and more secure beds. Phase I consisted of the new Temporary Restricted Custody Building with 128 beds and supporting rooms. The construction for the Restricted Custody facility was completed in fall 2005. The estimated construction cost was $700,000. Phase II consisted of the new Kitchen and Laundry Center located adjacent to the existing District Court. The Kitchen and Laundry Center construction began in fall 2005 and was completed in spring 2006. The estimated construction cost was $1 million. Phase III consists of a 30,000 s.f. jail addition adjacent to the District Court building, as well as adjoining the existing jail facility and the new Kitchen and Laundry Center into one secure complex. Construction on the jail addition started in winter 2005 and was completed in summer 2007.
