Lexington Fire Station No. 24

Lexington, Kentucky

Following completion of a Feasibility Study for Lexington Fire Station No. 24, BCI was contracted to design the station which would serve the Masterson Station area. The station is designed with two bays deep enough for drive through or opposite direction traffic. There are living quarters for 18 including dormitories, dayroom, kitchen and locker rooms. The bay support is designed to provide adequate separation from the bays but with good access to the bays for daily activities. The construction cost is estimated to be just under $4 million for 13,000 square feet.
