Lincoln County Public Library
BCI provided Architectural and Engineering Services for this new 16,000 s.f. library located in South-Central Kentucky. This project began with a Feasibility Study in 2004 to identify potential sites within the community for the library. The study’s findings enabled library officials to secure a grant via the Governor’s office for local development, as well as a grant from the Kentucky Department of Libraries and Archives. The $3,000,000 facility includes program areas for children, young adults, adults, reference collections, genealogy research, a community room, and staff offices. BCI worked closely with the local historic review board to ensure an architectural style that would fit the downtown historic district. The building was dedicated April 25, 2010 by the Library Board, staff, local elected officials, and citizens.
