Groveport Recreation Center
The full scope of this project consists of a 67,000 s.f. recreation center with an indoor 25-yard pool, indoor splash pool, two gymnasiums, weight and aerobic training areas and administrative offices. An outdoor aquatic center was also included on this site. Total project cost is in excess of $12 million (Recreation Center $9 million, Outdoor Aquatic Center $3.5 million).
Ray and Joan Kroc Corps Community Center Salvation Army
Brandstetter Carroll Inc. provided Architectural services for a new 40,000 s.f. facility that will aid the Salvation Army by providing worship, education, and performing art spaces to the community. The project was funded as a result of the historic Ray and Joan Kroc Foundation $1.5 billion endowment, which funded 24 similar facilities across the United States. Elected officials from the City of Ashland, and Ashland County, as well as community leaders from Ashland University, and the County Social Services office raised additional funds for the project.
Mt. Washington Recreation Center
Mt. Washington Recreation Center is a 34,000 square foot facility which includes distinct areas for senior citizen dining, lounging and gaming. It is complete with two gymnasiums, an elevated running track, teen room, exercise room, and related facilities including specialized spaces for ceramics. The building was designed with extensive involvement of area residents and it will meet the unique needs of this Cincinnati neighborhood.
