The City of Denton wished to create a one-stop center to make it easier and more convenient for their citizens to understand the permitting process within the City. This renovated building provides access to planning, zoning, building permitting and inspection, stormwater, and other utility requirement. The City chose to repurpose an empty building in the downtown core, thus assisting in the revitalization of the downtown area. The building was originally a grocery store, built in the 1950s. It has received an updated exterior façade, as well as a completely new energy efficient infrastructure on the interior side.
