BCI was selected to provide water system planning services to the Village of Georgetown. The services established a prioritized list of capital improvements to be funded with a combination of Ohio Public Works Commission funds and low-interest loans from OEPA/OWDA.
Multiple projects were identified, including replacing the waterline S.R. 125 through the Village, a new elevated water storage tank on Stephens Road, and an interconnect with Brown County Rural Water District.
The original scope of the S.R. 125 project was completed in 2017. This project was expanded to include replacement mains on Third Street and Main Street. The S.R. 125 work was completed ahead of an ODOT planned paving project.
The Stephens Road elevated water storage tank and associated booster station were completed in 2019. This required multiple funding sources including OPWC and ARC grants as well as low-interest loans from OEPA/OWDA.
